In order to verify your phone number, you must first login into your account, click on the Account button, then on the Notifications link.
After you’ve clicked on the Notifications link you will be able to add your phone number. 
After you've added your phone number click the Verify via SMS button and wait for the 5 digit confirmation SMS. After you've received the 5 digit code enter it and click Verify again.
